At the age of 31, Gloriose's life took an unexpected turn after starting her employment at a hospital as a stock manager. She was wrongly accused of stealing medicine, which led her to spend sixteen years in prison, eventually winning a reduced sentence through the Supreme Court. When she finally returned home at 47, she faced a reality that had moved on without her. Her fiancé had left her, and she could not have children anymore. The years spent in prison had taken a heavy toll on her mental health, making it nearly impossible for her to envision a future. Fortunately, Gloriose received counseling from a psychologist and was trained in tailoring by RESTOBU. This program welcomes those who have been unjustly imprisoned. In most cases, they return home to find their lives in pieces with families fractured, children left without guidance, and deep emotional scars that do not heal overnight. RESTOBU advocates for the release of prisoners and accompanies them throughout the challenging process of reintegration.

This group is made up entirely of women who have experienced various difficulties; leading them to selling their bodies to earn a living and exposing themselves to incurable diseases. But with the guidance and support from Pamoja Foundation, they regained their dignity and now have organized themselves to work hard and earn an honest living. They have a savings and credit group. Today, they manufacture soap, embroidery sheets and trade salt; earning more than 70,000 BIF in profit per month. The group has built a capital of 500,000 BIF, helping them improve their families' living conditions, develop income generating activities and strengthen their economic autonomy.
